A vacancy has arisen for an IT Officer in the Drug Control Centre (DCC) within King’s Forensics. King’s Forensics sits in the Department of Analytical, Environmental & Forensic Sciences, and in School of Population Health & Environmental Sciences.
The DCC is the only World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory in the UK and played a key role in the London 2012 Olympics, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2015 Rugby World Cup anti-doping screening programmes. The DCC is also accredited by the UK Accreditation Service (UKAS) as a testing laboratory, in accordance with ISO 17025.
Under the supervision of the Senior IT Officer, the postholder will contribute to the development and implementation of the Laboratory Information management System (LIMS) for the Drug Control Centre in order to maintain accreditation to ISO 17025 and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) International Standard for Laboratories.
