Faculty position in Biotechnology

The Department of Biology, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman invites applications for Assistant Professor Position in the field of Biotechnology. The Department of Biology is committed to teach modern biological sciences as well as to carry out quality research. The department seeks exceptionally innovative and visionary researchers to serve in both teaching and research. The department has all the facilities to carry out innovative research in Biotechnology. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, to develop collaborative research with the existing faculty members and to build up the research to the next level. The successful candidate has to develop advanced courses in his/her area of specialization in addition to teach the basic courses.

Eligible candidates having experience in bioprocessing, process modeling and simulation, working experience in aerobic and anaerobic microbes and biotechnological applications of fungi are preferred.

Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field and at least four years of teaching experience and a record of publication in well-reputed international journals. The application must include a curriculum vitae, degree certificate, a complete list of publications, a statement of future research plans and information about research activities, a teaching portfolio and verified information on previous teaching experience (if any).
