Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Dr Gloryn Chia on validating cancer vaccine candidates under a project on Cancer vaccines. 

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow with keen interest and expertise in immunology or oncology. Experience working with NGS datasets, high throughput screening and pipeline development will be advantageous. Our team aims to leverage on stem cell biology and cell engineering to develop alternative immunotherapeutic strategies to target refractory cancer types. The candidate will work closely with clinical collaborators to validate patient-specific cancer vaccines, and to translate research findings into clinical practice. The successful candidate is expected to independently design and execute experiments, troubleshoot issues, interpret results and give project updates. Highly motivated individuals with a passion for translational and clinical research are encouraged to apply. 

The main responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Project planning, data analysis, manuscript preparation and grant applications. 
  • Perform experiments involving cell culture, molecular biology, phenotypic assays, sequencing and imaging, etc. 

Qualifications

Qualifications / Discipline: 

Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or other relevant disciplines. 

Skills: 

Competency in standard molecular biology and cell culture techniques. 

Experience:  

Background in immunology and/or oncology. Experience with handling patients’ samples, 3D cultures, immunology assays, NGS data and high throughput screening will be helpful.
