An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on IT Support Manager to lead a dedicated team of technical professionals providing first class support and services to staff and students.

Managing the day-to-day activities of the IT support staff, this is a frontline position requiring significant experience in supporting people and IT systems in a real-time environment. The ability to manage and prioritise the technical needs of the University is critical to our success. 

Advising on the implementation of new technologies and solutions to support teaching, learning and assessment is central to this role, driven by the need to have robust on-campus and on-line technical support.

The role is very varied and alongside proven technical experience, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from across the University.

In addition to customer support, the IT Support Manager will be responsible for purchasing IT supplies and equipment, and imaging all IT equipment including desktops, laptops and mobile devices supporting both teaching and staff environments. A working knowledge of audio/visual equipment is essential.
