The Department of Applied Psychology is the latest establishment in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Department builds on the strengths of faculty in the field of positive occupational health psychology, human-computer interactions, and cross-cultural psychology. In line with the liberal arts tradition of the University, the Department is also strongly committed to providing high quality teaching and a supportive learning environment to students.

General Requirements

Part time lecturers are needed to teach the following courses: “Environmental Psychology”, “Industrial and Organisational Psychology”, “Religious Behaviour, Belief and Experience”, “Creativity and Individual Difference: Theories and Applications” and/or “Research Methods and Statistics for Psychology”. The applicants should have a PhD degree in Psychology with relevant teaching experience. Applicants are required to provide information on their evidence of quality teaching and indicate which psychology course(s) they would like to teach. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. The appointee should be able to take up teaching duties, to prepare and score assignments and examination papers. Qualified psychologists with teaching experience and active field practice are preferred.
