The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, is searching for a full-time faculty member.  The appointee will have both outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities. The outpatient activities will be dedicated to sleep medicine at our Hyde Park campus, as well as at our Chicagoland area network locations, including downtown Chicago.  Outpatient responsibilities will include sleep clinics and interpretation of sleep studies in a busy 9-bed sleep laboratory with a very active home sleep testing program. The appointee will also provide inpatient clinical coverage for services such as the pulmonary consult, MICU and procedure services. Teaching and supervising medical students, residents and fellows will be an important educational activity as the institution has an ACGME-accredited Sleep Medicine fellowship program with 3 sleep medicine fellows annually. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be BC/BE in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and 4) have completed fellowship training in Sleep Medicine.
