POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Media Lab-Camera Culture Group, to join a highly collaborative team of faculty and researchers focusing on computational imaging, including ultrafast imaging systems, single photon avalanche diode (SPAD) detectors, THz time domain spectroscopy, and novel sensing systems. Will perform independent research in areas including computational imaging, machine learning, optimization, and signal processing; publish, present, and disseminate research to the computer vision, machine learning, signal processing, and optics communities; collaborate with professors from other institutions in their research; work with private, industry, and/or government research sponsors to apply for research grants; help identify projects, mentor graduate students, and supplement a team of researchers to push forward this research; and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Ph.D. in computer vision, computer science, electrical engineering, or closely related field; experience with machine learning, computer vision, computer graphics, optimization, compressive sensing, and inverse problems; excellent written and verbal communication skills; proactive approach to problem solving and time management; excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; and ability to incubate and envision new, innovative research projects and successfully manage their implementation with graduate students. Job #16356
