Applications are invited for a nine month fixed term post of Research Assistant post to work with a UK based consultancy venture. The project aims to understand the key role of material properties on the thermal behaviour of powders.

As part of a strong R&D team at UWS, the holder of this post will contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of methods to systematically determine the influence of solid-state particle chemistry on thermal behaviour in a series of single component, binary mixtures, and formulated powder compositions.

The successful applicant will be ideally educated to BSc (Hons) level in Chemistry or will hold alternative and appropriate relevant academic/industrial experience.   The ideal candidate will have experience in the methodologies of evaluating material density, the analytical development of formulated powder compositions and the preparation of COSHH & Risk Assessment processes.
