At TU Dresden, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Institute of Circuits and Systems the Chair of Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering is offering a project position as

Research Associate
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

starting February 1, 2021 for a period of 3 years within the framework of a project funded by the German Research Foundation. The period of employment is governed by § 2 (2) Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG)

Tasks: Research work on the project "Bio inspired Memcomputing via Crossbar Structures (BioMCross)".

Requirements: very good to good university degree in the field of electrical engineering, physics or related fields; ability and willingness for independent, conceptual work in a team; interest in practice-oriented, interdisciplinary cooperation with cooperation partners from industry; very good written and spoken English skills; experience in device level circuit modeling; knowledge of interconnect capacitance and resistance models, very good programming skills with experience in SPICE and Matlab or equivalent software tools, fundamental knowledge of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) and applications. Knowledge of memristors and nonlinear dynamical system theory are desirable.
