Job Description Summary
Under limited supervision, provide high level administrative support to the Director of the Pennsylvania Muscle Institute and the affiliated PMI faculty on a broad range of institutional and educational duties. This position also serves as the Network Administrative Coordinator for the Leducq Transatlantic Network of Excellence Grant.

Under limited supervision, provide high level administrative support to the Director of the Pennsylvania Muscle Institute and the affiliated PMI faculty on a broad range of institutional and educational duties. This position also serves as the Network Administrative Coordinator for the Leducq Transatlantic Network of Excellence Grant.
- Coordinate PMI seminar series; develop itineraries and plan travel arrangements.
- Prepare and update content for PMI website and newsletters.
- Coordinate and schedule PMI journal clubs and laboratory research meetings.
- Manage the logistics of PMI symposia, mini-symposia and other research meetings.
- Represent PMI and the Director to University, School of Medicine, Institute, and other external offices.
- Organize grant materials and coordinate the grant submissions with PI’s and other departments.
- Place orders for laboratory and administrative supplies; process travel reimbursements.
- Serve as network administrative contact for the Leducq Transatlantic Network.
- Coordinate regional meetings.
- Plan and execute all aspects of the international meeting.
- Collect and compile quarterly invoices for submission to Leducq Foundation.
- Assist Department of Physiology activities, as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. This position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in an environment with competing deadlines and priorities. Strong oral and written communication skills, advanced level PC skills including all facets of Microsoft Office, and the ability to effectively utilize online resources are required. Knowledge of Concur and BEN Financials is highly desirable.
This position is contingent upon funding.
