Energy Research Institute @ NTU, ERI@N invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Play a leading role in the development of AI/Machine learning algorithms for the predictive fault detection and classifications for Li Ion battery energy storage system (ESS) incorporating data driven models of the ESS developed in parallel by a companion team for improved operation safety
- Conduct research, design and develop machine learning algorithms, RNN, GAN etc models for purposes fault/failure prediction for improved safe operation and maintenance
- Assist the project Principal Investigator in overseeing junior researchers
- Work closely with the AI/machine learning team to deliver the overall project KPIs
- Responsible for regular progress reporting and presentations
- Support ERI@N research activities including contribution to research proposals
Job Requirements:
- PhD Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering
- Possess working experience in data driven model and machine learning algorithm development
- Experience in AI/Machine learning model development on Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch, Scikit-learn etc
- Good knowledge with machine learning algorithms, like neural network, SVM, deep learning
- Well-developed skills on battery energy storage systems operating condition monitoring and analysis, e.g., battery safety, health and etc
- Image processing and signal processing analysis using convolutional neural network is advantageous
- Knowledge about electricity market and grid services is advantageous
- Independent problem solver with the ability to co-operate and work in a team
