The EMPC Centre at Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute, Nanyang Technological University is an interdisciplinary research and training centre with focus on the development of environment friendly solutions, tools and technologies, including state-of-the-art hydrodynamic and water quality numerical models and real-time field monitoring systems, to improve the planning and management of water resources (both quantity and quality).
We invite applications for the position of Research Associate where he/she is:
- To manage and provide technical assistance to a new project related to a pilot water treatment facility with automated controlled system;
- To perform data analysis with machine learning and neural networks
Job Requirements
- Master degree or higher with related training in environmental or chemical engineering.
- Specialisation coursework on machine learning and neural networks is essential.
- A minimum of 2 years of industrial experience on project management.

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
