The School of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty. Frequently commended for our partnership working across the health and social care sector, the School delivers a range of undergraduate and post graduate course that lead to registration in nursing, midwifery, health visiting/school nursing, speech and language therapy, and paramedic science. We also have a wide portfolio of post qualifying provision including the MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. The University is currently investing over £3 million in the development of the state-of-the-art simulation centres, the arrival of which will further enhance our record of teaching innovation.
We are seeking two experienced registered mental health nurses who have ambition to develop as nurse educators and academics, having developed teaching and assessing skills through a mentorship/practice assessor role or equivalent. You will play a key role in facilitating teaching and learning across our mental health nursing provision. We are happy to consider part-time working and/or secondments.
Successful applicants will have opportunity to complete a teaching qualification (PGCHE) and progress through our GOLD framework to achieve HEA senior fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty wide research and enterprise activities. Opportunity also exists to undertake doctoral studies through a professional doctorate or PhD programme. The University has an established career framework which offers opportunity for promotion through an annual application process.
