Applications are invited for the position of Dean of Admissions and Registration.

THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Associate Provost for Student Affairs, the Dean of Admissions and Registration is responsible for redefining admission criteria, setting admission/enrollment targets, developing student centric processes and policies to select high quality students and researchers for the university. 

The role will act as the University Registrar and be responsible for leading and managing registration and enrollment, maintaining integrity and accuracy of all academic records, degrees, transcript etc. while ensuring academic information requirements of colleges are met on regular basis and changes in curriculum and procedures are tested for accuracy and impact on student transcript. The Dean will also support students and researchers by developing and enabling scholarship and financial aid programs; attracting both national and international students at the University.

The ideal candidate will take full responsibility of the strategic plan by preparing and communicating the Department’s vision, strategy and objectives in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders, as well as ensure the development and execution of the Department's objectives and goals and alignment with UAEU's strategic goals. S/he will effectively manage the development and utilization of the Department’s budget and provide guidance to direct line reports on cost optimization opportunities where applicable.

UAE University are looking for dynamic and proactive candidates who can act as a change agent to establish Admission and Scholarship as a frontline cohesive team addressing students concerns and query from prospect to registration and enrollment, building the ‘first impression’ of the university. This crucial role will provide guidance and leadership in the development and implementation of admission strategies for the undergraduate and graduate programs, including freshmen, transfer, and international students. S\he will organize and manage all operational plan related to admission, student registration, enrollment and records, supporting mission and goal of the university. 

The Dean will lead admission evaluations, competitive scholarship awarding and project management in support of achieving university’s enrollment goals. This person will promote and build a student-centered culture while influencing the team to deliver high standards of excellence in student services. 

KEY EXPERIENCE

Applicants will have a higher degree in Education or another relevant discipline.  They will have demonstrable leadership experience and the drive and determination to plan and achieve the University’s desired enrolment and admission targets, rankings indicators and have experience of student scholarships, collecting and analyzing data, and registration. They will show outstanding commitment to student success and welfare, acting as an advocate for the student body and the have the ability to build close working relationships with the Deans of the Colleges and other academic colleagues to ensure an excellent student experience and high-quality student outcomes.
