A Project Officer position is currently available in Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection and analysis of MRI data in a large-scale study on how individuals’ transient cognitive states influence, and are influenced by, exposure to media
  • Liaise with LKCMedicine’s Cognitive Neuroimaging Centre (CoNiC)
  • Schedule and conduct scanning sessions in CoNiC
  • Assist with data analysis, including but not limited to transferring and organizing data
  • Assist with the preparation of publications and presentations of the results
  • Carry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessary

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in communication or psychology
  • Experience conducting neuroimaging (preferably fMRI) research
  • Good communication skills, especially in interfacing with participants
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple facets of the research process
  • Knowledge/experience with the following is preferred but not required: BIDS/COBIDAS; Docker/Git; python

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
