Overview

The Strategic and Governance Services Centre (SGSC) provides advice and expertise to the senior leadership and the University community in relation to performance and governance matters to enable the University to meet its strategic objectives and operational requirements.

The Senior Complaints, Appeals and Integrity Officer is a pivotal role within the Legal and Integrity team responsible for building collaborative relationships with relevant stakeholders across ECU in providing management and advice on complaints and student appeals, ensuring compliance to processes, policies, standards and guidelines.

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring matters received from students, staff and members of the public are managed effectively through to resolution in a timely manner. Referring matters to the relevant subject matter experts or investigating where appropriate
  • Conducting data analysis, assessing trends and recommending strategies to improve services, policies and procedure changes
  • Providing support for the Student Appeals Committee in their decision making process

We are open to the industry and background you may come from, it will be your solid experience in a complaint management or dispute resolution role that will be essential. Also crucial to the success of this position will be your ability to take a proactive and solutions focused approach to reaching the best outcomes whilst maintaining a mature and balanced view. Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence at the senior management level will also be imperative.

This full-time, Ongoing position attracts remuneration of $101,636 - $114,474 pa (HEW 8) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
