Research Associate, Protein Production Platform

A Research Associate position is now available in the Protein Production Platform (PPP) located at School of Biological Sciences (SBS), Nanyang Technological University. PPP is a service group operating under the Biosciences Research Center of SBS.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine experiments independently with meticulous documentation
• Support the PPP manager and other group members with molecular biology and protein production experiments
• Lab maintenance (FPLC systems, consumables etc)
• Present results and take part in project discussions and lab meetings
• Interact with and assist PPP users (e.g. exchanging materials, explaining data)

Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent
• Essential basic laboratory skills e.g. pipetting, media preparation, buffer preparation etc
• Working knowledge in molecular cloning
• Experience in recombinant protein production, structural bioinformatics and basic eukaryotic (insect or mammalian) cell culture work would be highly favourable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
