Materials Science/Physics/Applied Physics/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
School of Materials Science and Engineering is searching for a Research Fellow to perform DFT bandstructure calculations and Boltzmann Transport based thermoelectric transport in inorganic and organic materials, specifically focusing on calculations of electron and phonon scattering times.
Key Responsibilities:
The Research Fellow will be engaged in methodology development towards high-throughput calculations for automated computational workflows and generating an electronic database.
Requirements:
- PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in first principles simulations, boltztrap and electron and phonon scattering theory
- Ability to work in a team with clear communication skills and to develop own ideas in 1-2 years' time
