An opportunity has arisen for experienced business partner to join our Health and Safety team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that SRUC’s built environment for learning is fit for purpose and supports strategic aims. You will work with the Lead Health & Safety Business Partner and colleagues, to ensure that SRUC promotes a positive health & safety culture.

The successful candidate will co-ordinate, support and advise the business on all aspects of health & safety at a faculty level and establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with health & safety are adhered to.

This will include supporting effective policies and procedures that will enhance standards of health & safety across SRUC and supporting legal compliance across our work functions. You will also provide an advisory service on all aspects of environment, health & safety and monitoring safety performance as well as ensuring that SRUC is kept compliant with changes in legislation, best practice and procedures.

You will provide competent and risk focussed health & safety advice and assist with Health & Safety training and conducting operational HSE activities. You will support effective policies and procedures which enhance standards of health & safety across SRUC and ensure that all health & safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated and support legal compliance across all SRUC work functions.
