Overview
The discipline of Computing and Security within the School of Science has a growing program of high-quality computer science teaching and research. ECU has a world recognised (and growing) profile in research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML): this appointment will enhance this profile, by appointing a leading AI or ML academic.
Our courses are informed by an active research program, with much of the related research orienting around key thematic areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision and data mining. The successful applicant must be able to contribute by directly supporting our growing computer science education portfolio – across our on-campus, on-line and remote international campuses.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated academic to pursue teaching and research in a growing area of national and international strategic importance, and to be a leader not just within ECU, but nationally and internationally.
Applications are encouraged from those who have at least five years of post-PhD academic experience including extensive teaching and learning responsibilities and a proven research track record commensurate with the level of appointment.

Benefits & Remuneration
This position attracts remuneration of $124,522 to $164,111 (ALEVC-ALEVD) (pro-rata for part-time) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
