Salary Level:    Classification Level B (Salary range A$98,963 to A$117,411 gross per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions) 
                         Classification Level C (Salary range A$121,096 to A$139,546 gross per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions)

SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING:

The global threats of COVID-19, climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss have focused the world’s attention on the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The School of Science, Technology and Engineering is well placed to work towards solutions to these diverse challenges and to help to lead USC into becoming a University of international standing. The School of Science and Engineering exhibits exemplary teaching and research as recognised by the Good Universities Guide 2021 and the Shanghai Rankings for Ecology (top 201–300 globally) a remarkable achievement for such a young School. USC is seeking to appoint an academic in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering at either the level of a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. The successful appointee will engage in undergraduate teaching of Mechanical Engineering courses providing leadership in the development and delivery of courses in Thermofluids. The appointee will also be engaged in research activities with industry, for example:   

  • Mechanical systems design 
  • Modelling and simulation in mechanical systems 
  • Mechatronics 
  • Advanced / Intelligent Manufacturing 
  • Robotics and Automation 
  • Healthcare Engineering 
  • Smart Designs
