USC Caboolture offers a hands-on campus experience halfway between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. As part of the Moreton Bay region, USC Caboolture is approximately 25km north of USC Moreton Bay and 50km south of USC Sunshine Coast.

OVERVIEW OF THE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION AND TERTIARY ACCESS

The School of Education and Tertiary Access is a vibrant hub of energetic, passionate and knowledgeable staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students and doctoral candidates committed to quality studies in the discipline of Education and to supporting potential students to follow pathways to access tertiary education. The School comprises a strong team of academic staff who are experts in their fields and who design and deliver innovative and engaging educational programs. Our core business is initial teacher education, outdoor and environmental studies, and tertiary access programs, as well postgraduate and research studies in Education.

The School prides itself on its collegial approach to research and support of early career academic staff members, and boasts many co-authored publications in high quality journals. The Indigenous and Transcultural Research Centre is hosted by the School and connects many academic staff through its transdisciplinary research focus. School objectives include sustaining the University’s five-star ranking for learning and teaching, enhancing blended learning opportunities, increasing research capacity and outputs in fields of education and extending engagement with schools. USC has one of the highest employment rates for teaching graduates in Australia, with more than 85 percent employed fulltime.

The School of Education and Tertiary Access is seeking to recruit and appoint committed, team-focused and inspirational academics with expertise in teaching a range of tertiary access courses in any combination of introductory mathematics, chemistry, biology, academic writing, critical thinking and/or ICT and professional skills, to join our dynamic team of community-focused and dedicated educators. Successful applicants will contribute to the School’s philosophy of enhancing student pathways to learning.  The successful applicants will have a clear plan to build a track record of research publications in scholarly international peer-reviewed journals.
