Job Details
A Research Fellow position is currently available in the School of Physical & Mathematical Sciences.
Job Responsibilities
- Synthetic research in electrocatalysis for organic synthesis
- Characterisation of materials
- Device fabrication, including two fabricated electrochemical flow cells
- Maintenance of key instruments
- Training of Ph.D. students, undergraduate researchers, and exchange students
- Administrative duties, e.g. purchase of chemicals and equipment
- Drafting reports, papers, and proposals
- Presentation of research and outreach
- Coordinate collaborations
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field
- A strong publication record, and prior experience in electrocatalysis, cross-coupling catalysis for organic synthesis, and flow chemistry
- Good writing and communication skills
- Experienced in screening and condition optimisation for organic synthesis, especially for cross-coupling reactions
- Familiarity with the fabrication of a flow cell is preferred
- Able to draft reports and scientific publications, and use both the Microsoft Office suite and other scientific data processing software

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
