Energy Research Institute @ NTU invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Core expertise: Probabilistic Power Flow Analysis, Stochastic Optimization, Machine Learning
  • Develop a probabilistic qualification approach for power flow analysis using tensor techniques
  • Design & develop optimization algorithms/tools to build an application platform at grid enterprise level that can aggregate, optimize & manage the Distributed Energy Resources in view of the advanced utility grid operations, ancillary services & intelligent distribution networ
  • Power system analysis & probabilistic qualification
  • Stochastic Optimization
  • Decomposition techniques to tackle real-time control & computational problems in distribution grid management

Job Requirements: 

  • Ph.D. degree in machine learning, power systems, controls, operational research, physics, applied mathematics, or related disciplines with a proven track record
  • Mininimum 1 year of experience

Proficiency in:

  • Solvers (e.g., GLPSOL, CPLEX, and GUROBI)
  • Mathematical programming languages (e.g., GLPK, AMPL, GAMS and YALMIP)
  • Power system simulation/modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB)
