During the winter and spring quarters of the 2020-21 academic year the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of Music may have part-time teaching opportunities for courses in the Department of Music that count toward fulfilling requirements in the Art/Music/Drama Core and the Music major and minor. We seek courses that integrate studio-oriented musical performance with the critical study of sound and music.

Responsibilities will include preparing lecture- and/or workshop-style classes, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparation and grading of assignments and testing materials.
Minimum qualifications are a master’s degree or equivalent (PhD preferred) in music or a related field, and at least one year of experience teaching at the university or post-secondary level.
Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In 2020-21, the per-course salary is $7,000. This position is not benefits eligible.
