DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR, Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) North America, to contribute to J-PAL’S mission of reducing poverty by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence. Will assist with and support the execution of J-PAL North America’s donor engagement and stewardship strategies.  Responsibilities include conducting prospect research, analyzing and managing data, and providing logistical and operational support for a broad range of fund-raising and operations management activities; and working closely with senior leadership to conduct donor research, manage the donor pipeline, assist with grant writing and proposal development, track fund-raising activities, coordinate logistics and outreach, generate reports, and provide broader operational management support as needed. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least two years’ experience working in a nonprofit or academic setting; self-motivation, initiative, and ability to to identify, implement and/or improve established processes; tact and good judgment with confidential information; strong project management, analytical, writing, and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, especially as it relates to the preparation of materials and presentations; and technically proficiency with learning and using computer applications, including Asana, Excel and Salesforce.  Must be able to anticipate, plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines; manage multiple tasks, numerous requests from various parties, and effectively manage a high volume of work; communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including comfort with engaging frequently with senior management; and analyze, synthesize and present information effectively.
