Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502430), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in immunology or virology, with an established level of laboratory experience and publication record. Experience in serological and cellular assay, flow cytometry, and small animal handling would be an advantage. Applicants should have a good command of written and spoken English, a strong sense of responsibility, attention to details, and the ability to work independently.
The appointee will carry out independent research on influenza virus and SARS-CoV-2 immunology in the context of infection and vaccination. He/She will utilize patient cohort, randomized clinical trials and animal models to identify immune correlates of protection, virus pathogenesis and generate next generation vaccines. He/She will also perform day-to-day administrative duties and other duties as assigned.
