Reporting directly to the Chief Research Administrator (CRA) of the Department of Medicine (DOM), the Manager of Staffing and Recruitment will manage, administer, oversee and troubleshoot the daily recruitment operations and human resource support activities of several divisions and centers within the Department.

Reporting directly to the Chief Research Administrator (CRA) of the Department of Medicine (DOM), the Manager of Staffing and Recruitment will manage, administer, oversee and troubleshoot the daily recruitment operations and human resource support activities of several divisions and centers within the Department of Medicine including Nephrology, PAIR Center, DOM Central Administration, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, and Translational Medicine & Human Genetics. The Manager of Staffing and Recruitment will work with hiring managers and program directors to ensure the recruitment process proceeds in compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations.  The position will oversee the work of 2-3 direct reports (recruitment specialists/coordinators) and will serve as the central point of contact for the department regarding HR policies in support of the CRA. In addition, the Manager will develop a strategic plan with divisions on how to support supervisors on talent management of existing staff and advise on personnel issues and concerns. The Manager of Staffing and Recruitment will work collaboratively with various University offices, hiring managers, staff and faculty to oversee several human resource functions including talent management and staff relations.  The position will lead and coordinate a forum of human resource liaisons within the department to help disseminate new policies and regulations, advise on their implementation and devise strategies to improve execution of HR processes across the Department of Medicine.
