Monash Education has a 12 month fixed term opportunity for a Senior Lecturer to join our high-performing team. As a Senior Lecturer, you will play a key part in shaping the future of counselling psychology and how to educate and support healthy communities, address health inequities, and promote physical and mentally healthy lifestyles. Applicants must share a passion for high quality research, teaching, and engagement with real world challenges and contexts.

About YOU!

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrated capability in teaching in areas of Counselling Psychology with experience in online and blended teaching. The successful applicant will have a track record of high quality scholarly activities, undertaken individually and collaboratively, and be able to demonstrate abilities that will contribute positively and significantly to the Faculty’s strategy research priorities.

To thrive in the role you will have experience in generating research income from traditional and innovative sources and excellent relationships with industry, business and government agencies to open doors for future collaborations. The successful applicant will have considerable experience as a professional Counsellor and demonstrated record of successfully supervising postgraduate research students. The successful applicant will have a doctoral qualification in the area of Counselling Psychology and be registered as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or a member of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW) with registration as a mental health Social Worker. Previous professional experience in school-based settings working with children, youth and their families is also an asset.
