As part of its continuing development, the School of Education & Social Sciences is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly organised Administrator to become a key member of the School’s Professional Support Team based at Paisley Campus.

In this busy role as Administrator, you will provide a high level of administrative support to academics and students for our Postgrad and Undergrad Social Work programmes.  This will include knowledge of finance systems; support for admissions, enrolment, PVG coordination; quarterly reporting; exam preparation and minute taking at a variety of committees and formal meetings.  In addition, working as part of a flexible team, you will deal directly with student enquiries, both written and in person as well as assisting with tasks to ensure that Quality process requirements are met. 

The successful candidate should be educated to at least HNC/SVQ level 3 or equivalent in Office Administration or relevant subject with experience of working within a similar office environment.  Proficiency in IT and Microsoft applications is also essential, as is experience of formal minute writing and committee servicing; and knowledge of finance systems.
You will have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with staff and students on all levels.  In addition, you will possess excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to plan under your own initiative and the ability to work with conflicting and competing deadlines. A flexible and adaptable approach to work is crucial with the ability to work in a team environment, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.

This post will be based at the Paisley campus, however all administrators may be required to work at any UWS campus or location from time to time to meet needs of the business.
