Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Transplantation, is searching for full-time associate or full professors.  The appointees will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities specializing in abdominal transplantation, and experience in liver and kidney transplantation with emphasis on living kidney donation. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. We especially welcome applicants with experience in pancreas transplantation, the single port belly button procedure, administration, and driving programmatic growth, and who can start employment in 2020.  Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible by The American Board of Surgery or the foreign equivalent, and 4) and have completed an American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) accredited fellowship or equivalent training in kidney and/or liver and/or pancreas transplantation.
