University of Nottingham Ningbo China is seeking to recruit a high calibre researcher with a proven record in Business Economics!

Your Responsibility

You will be expected:

  • To provide leadership of research that contributes to the enhancement of publications in the department of finance, accounting and economics;
  • To lead and support the development of new research projects as principal investigator and as a collabator from conception to of research grant application to project completion;
  • To lead research and collaborative partnerships with other educational institutions and external bodies;
  • To supervise PhD students, research fellows and enhance the quality of research degree programmes;
  • To contribute to both UG and PG teaching programmes through course development and teaching;
  • To provide support to leadership at both departmental and school levels and participate in committees;
  • To strengthen external research networks for the department and enhance its reputation in China and internationally.

About You

  • You should be PhD qualified;
  • You should have a proven ability to plan and lead the delivery of research and teaching programmes;
  • You should have an extensive track record of publishing in leading international journals in economics or applied economics;
  • You should have strong evidence of attracting research funding and/or leading research projects;
  • You will be willing to work in the multicultural environment of UNNC and passionate to explore research opportunities in China.

This is a permanent post with a renewable fixed term initial contract of up to 5 years from February 2021 or as soon thereafter as possible. This contract can be extended on an indefinite basis based on mutual agreement.
