RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/PRE-DOCTORAL RESEARCH FELLOWAbdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) (2 openings), to join the research team of Professor Amy Finkelstein, focusing on randomized evaluations, including studying the effect of expanding public health insurance, and analyzing the impacts of healthcare hotspotting on  super-utilizers. Responsibilities include working with data sets and analyzing data; and assisting with literature reviews, IRB applications, and the preparation of academic papers.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: two years of research experience (may include research experience gained as an undergraduate); a bachelor’s degree; strong quantitative background and computer skills, including programming experience; and ability to work independently. 

PREFERRED;  research assistant experience and a background in economics.  Those with technical backgrounds looking for more exposure to economics are welcome. The position is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a PhD in economics. Job #19034
