Job Description Summary

The position requires expertise in bacterial culturing, DNA manipulation , and mouse colonization. The candidate should have experience with DNA purification, amplification, cloning sequencing, transposon mutagenesis, transformation, bacterial culture, animal work. Salary commensurate with experience.

This position is contingent upon funding.

The candidate should have experience with DNA purification, amplification, cloning sequencing, transposon mutagenesis, transformation, bacterial culture, animal work. Salary commensurate with experience.

In addition to the above, the Research Specialist B will be responsible for independently designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting results, and assisting with writing and updating laboratory protocols/standard research operations documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research

Research Specialist B 1-2 year of related experience in research

The job pay range encompasses the full range of employees from new hires to the salaries of Penn employees with many years of experience and seniority and is not a precise indicator of salaries of new hires when looking at the top end.

This is an essential position.
