Delta-NTU Corporate Laboratory for Cyber-Physical Systems ​invites applications for the position of Research Associate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and accomplish the research and development function to develop prototype to production
  • Contribute to new machine firmware programming involving embedded system, devices, sensors that can be used for machines, AGV and mobile manipulator
  • Apply latest technologies in new automation prototype and product development
  • Functional debugging, testing, analyzing and improving the firmware quality
  • Develop interfaces, API, command for external team collaboration
  • Adopt current industry standards / methodology to work (industrial standards, open source, common platform)
  • Programming in embedded system, linux programming

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in electrical and electronics engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering, computer science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in system integration or R&D project development
  • In-depth firmware development knowledge including common and best practice
  • Debugging skills involving pneumatic system and Robot Arm
  • Good experience in ROS, RTOS, Halcon, C++. Python, or equivalent
  • Experience in automation system design and strong hands-on building capability with M&E knowledge is advantageous
  • Able to travel for short periods (3 days – 2weeks)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
