Job Details
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering invites application for the position of Research Fellow.
Job Description
- Responsible for conducting research on Cellular V2X and IEEE V2X communication techniques to solve hidden-node, security and edge/fog computing problems
- Conduct research, publish papers, write patent disclosure documents, assist in grant applications and support live demos
Job Requirements
Educational background required:
- Ph.D degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Computer Science/Computer Engineering
Preferred Knowledge & Skills:
- Good understanding of IEEE V2X (802.11bd, 11p) and Cellular V2X (Rel 15 and beyond) standards
- Experience in vehicular networking and V2X communication
- Experience in edge/fog computing and block chain is a bonus
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Python or C/C++
- Track records of high-quality research papers, patents and securing (or assisting to secure) research grants
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
