ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR FINANCIAL EDUCATION, Student Financial Services (SFS), to serve as a campus leader in pioneering financial wellness throughout the MIT community.  Will launch MIT’s financial education program and communicate a learning curriculum for students; partner with MIT Student Financial Services and Admissions leadership to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to educate the MIT student body about the significance of financial planning and organization and create, organize, and present dynamic and engaging programs to carry out this plan; collaborate with MIT faculty, campus partners, and the MIT student body in the development of these programs and raise awareness of the long-term benefits of prudent personal financial planning for students during and after their MIT experience; research financial literacy topics and resources, conduct surveys, hold focus groups with students in conjunction with the strategic plan, and proactively measure the effectiveness of the program; and provide regular feedback to senior management in order to continuously improve and expand ongoing financial literacy programs and related resource. 

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, education, communications, or related field; at least seven years’ experience engaging with students in postsecondary education; and ability to work a flexible schedule and be self-directed.  PREFERRED:  knowledge of and experience with financial literacy; strong public speaking skills and ability to engage large groups of students; and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, and community members.  Job #18890-9
