This senior role is accountable for the operational management and continuous functional enhancement of all enterprise Software-as-a-Service deployments at the University of Greenwich.

The Cloud Applications Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient management and day-to-day operations of all Enterprise SaaS applications and services used to support core business process and services across the University. This is achieved through the effective management and orchestration of people, products, providers, and processes across the University, and will drive the implementation of functional enhancements incrementally delivered via cloud service providers.

The role sits within the Infrastructure Team within the Information & Library Services Directorate (ILS), and will complement the existing operations function specifically for the management of SaaS application.  The role holder will have both direct and indirect line management of key cloud service administration staff, both within ILS and from other faculties and directorates to ensure a holistic enterprise wide management approach is undertaken.

This individual will have solid cloud service management experience, strong project management acumen and excellent vendor management skills, in addition to a service-oriented approach to SaaS operations. This successful individual will be responsible for operational and service management processes to ensure that quality, efficiency, and agility goals are achieved.

As a member of the ILS Directorate, the role contributes to the development and execution of the University’s Digital Strategy. It also ensures its alignment with the University’s business strategy and the delivery of capabilities required to achieve business success. Demonstrable experience of operational oversight of Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics and/or Office 365 would be an advantage.
