Job Purpose
The Group Head of Student Experience is responsible for ensuring that every student of BPP receives an excellent and consistent experience at every point of the student journey. This experience applies to all students and learners across the BPP Group. In addition, the post holder will support group-wide initiatives on quality assurance and regulatory reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Experience
- Manage the student experience across the BPP Group
- Implement strategies and action plans which affect the student experience
- Lead on the collation and evaluation of central surveys across the group (NSS, PG Student Experience Survey, Daily Tutor evaluation surveys)
- Lead on qualitative feedback from all students and apprentices
- Provide day to day support of the Virtual Campus
- Chair the Student Assessment, Retention and Achievement Committee
- Participate in relevant University Boards (Equality & Diversity Committee, Students' Association Board of Governors, Employability Forum, Student Experience Group)
- Work closely with other university teams in particular Academic Quality and the Alumni Team
- Participate as member of the Education Services Management Team
Students' Association
- Manage the Students' Association budget
- Line manage key staff in the Students' Association team
Quality Assurance
- Support Public information projects concerning students – linking in with marketing
- Work closely with Academic Quality to support BPP in meeting its obligations on academic standards
- Support the Graduate Outcomes Steering Group
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with the Data Protection Act
- Provide reports, management information and presentations to a range of stakeholders as required
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required commensurate with the role

Candidate Criteria
ESSENTIAL
- A degree level qualification or above
- Experience of working/delivering ideally within an educational environment, together with specialist quality assurance knowledge and experience of monitoring service delivery
- Proven ability to manage and develop a responsive service
- Experience of working within a regulatory framework and implementing appropriate procedures to ensure effective service delivery
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and use analytical skills in resolving problems with confidence in making strategic decisions
- Ability to set own goals in addition to leading a team and achieving key service performance indicators
- Good organisational and time management skills with a commitment to continuing professional development
- Demonstrable project management skills and confidence in leading a team through change
- Demonstrable experience of commitment to improving service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to engage and influence a range of audiences
- Experience of providing and monitoring quality assurance and regulatory requirements
- Commitment to BPP's aim to challenge the educational status quo and inclusive working practices
DESIRABLE
- Experience of managing a service within a HE environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and report writing
