Brunel Business School is a major part of the University. The School won the Times Higher Education (THE) Best Business School of the Year award in 2013 and has experienced significant progress in its research activity placing it number 12 among UK Business Schools in terms of ‘research power’ (Association of Business Schools ranking, 2015) and in the top 20 in terms of ‘research intensity’ (THE ranking, 2015). 

The Globalisation, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy (GES) Division is an intellectually stimulating, creative and research-driven Division that combines expertise in the areas of strategic management, international business, entrepreneurship, and innovation management.

In line with our growth strategy, we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in the area of Strategy and International Business to support existing and new programmes as well as advance understanding in key areas of such as strategic management, international business, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We are looking for a hardworking individual to join the GES Division and the Strategy, Entrepreneurship and International Business (SEIB) Research Group who can make a significant contribution to the implementation of our research, teaching and learning strategy. The SEIB Group has an international reputation in its key areas of research; members have published in 4-star ‘World Elite’ and 4-star journals, and have attracted research funding from bodies such as the British Academy, ESRC, and the Leverhulme Trust. Teaching duties will include contributing effectively to the MSc programmes in Management and International Business, as well as to the undergraduate, AMBA-accredited MBA, and PhD programmes.

The successful candidate must possess a Doctorate in a relevant field, and have an active research profile in the subject area including journal publications in ABS 3-star and 4-star journals. In addition, it is essential that the successful candidate has experience in teaching Strategy and International Business or related business subjects to a high standard, with the ability to demonstrate effective and innovative teaching practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Experience in developing online learning activities for blended courses is also required for the role.

The successful applicant will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.
