You will join the newly established Intelligent Information Visual Processing (IVIP) research group in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Environment, and work closely with Dr. F. Khelifi.  The research project supported by Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) aims to investigate camera sensor imperfections in order to estimate the smartphone camera fingerprint based on sensor pattern noise (SPN) for source video identification and content authentication on one hand. On the other hand, techniques that can learn the relationship between different smartphones of the same make and/or model will be developed.

You will be expected to contribute to the academic and practical development of the project. This will involve reviewing and understanding the literature, conducting high quality research, and producing research reports and publications.

You must have a BSc or MSc degree in computer science, computer engineering or electronic engineering and a PhD in a relevant discipline. Good research experience in signal and/or image processing and very good skills in Matlab programming are essential. Skills and knowledge in image forensics and deep learning would be highly desirable.
