Senior Lecturer in Nursing Education
The senior lecturer will take a lead in pursuing excellence in education in relation to advanced clinical practice. The role will primarily focus the ACP programmes within the Faculty and take a leadership role for the Advanced Surgical Care programme. There will be an expectation to fulfil other key education roles within the Faculty. The senior lecturer will be knowledgeable about different forms of teaching and learning particularly in relation to online and digital learning and be creative and innovative in their approach. The postholder will be an advanced clinical practitioner.
We particularly welcome applications from individuals who have experience in working in one or more of the following areas: Theatres and Peri-operative Care, Surgical Care and Critical Care.
The leadership element of this role incorporates accountability for quality assurance of teaching and learning at programme and modular level. The senior lecturer (AEP) will make a substantial contribution to supporting and teaching junior colleagues to sustain high quality education. The senior lecturer (AEP) will be expected to accept Faculty academic citizenship roles and have consistent scholarly output. The role will have an 80% education focus.
