HEALTH CARE DATA ANALYST, MIT Medical, to provide analytical support in data collection analysis, reporting, dissemination, and presentation of health care information. Will be responsible for the creation and communication of reports to support clinical, operational, quality improvement and population health activities; extract raw data from clinical applications and maintain data sets; and present data in a variety of manners, ensuring that information is succinct and graphically compelling. Will work closely with the information systems team on the structure of EHR and clinical operations systems; with the chief of population health and medical informatics on enterprise-level data analysis and interfaces; and with clinical service teams and the Quality/PIRM team to provide direct support of clinical, operations, QI, and population health data analysis.
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least five years’ relevant experience analyzing and modeling large, complex data sets and creating informative reports; knowledge of statistical programming and database query languages, predictive analysis techniques, and statistical methodology; proficiency with data visualization and communications tools; experience with Tableau (including development of dashboards) or its equivalent, medical record data structures, and data extraction tools; knowledge of QI and population health concepts/tools; strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; excellent communication, organizational, management, and analytical skills; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy; and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical peers, manage projects of moderate complexity and scope, work independently and readily integrate into clinical/operations/performance improvement teams; and function in a complex organization and matrixed role.
PREFERRED: master’s degree in statistical analysis or similar discipline, two years’ experience in a clinical setting, and prior or current clinical license. Job #18989-8
