The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonology, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The appointee will focus on clinical activity of children in inpatient and ambulatory settings including the University of Chicago Comer Children's ambulatory clinic and offsite ambulatory locations affiliated with the University of Chicago. The appointee will be a collaborative physician leader who will be positioned to succeed in a busy, dynamic environment and advance the clinical, educational and scholarly goals of the Section of Pulmonology. Applicants with experience as a clinical educator and/or conducting research in the field of Pediatric Pulmonology are preferred. Duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.

The University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is a 155-bed facility with state-of-the-art technology and amenities that offers world-class medical care to children from around the Chicagoland area and across the globe.  The Pediatric Emergency Department, the only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center on the south side of Chicago, treats approximately 32,000 patients per year. 

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) have completed an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Pulmonology training program, 4) be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology, and 5) have bronchoscopy experience.
