Energy Research Institute @ NTU invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform research and analysis and to execute solar cell, module & system experiment on journal publication level
  • Lead the solar cell, module and system research/industrialization activities and execute silicon solar cell characterization for the research project
  • Responsible for the hydrogenation lab equipment specification and design and to lead the equipment installation activities
  • Publish 1 to 2 journal/conference publications per year
  • Documentation of the experiment results, lab reports and prepare presentation materials

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in engineering - electrical/material science/physics/chemistry/computing or related fields
  • 2 - 3 years of working experience is preferable, fresh PhD candidates are also welcome
  • Software, programming and data learning computing skills
  • Experience in planning and executing solar cell/module and system related experiment
  • Experience in writing equipment specifications and standards
  • Experience in Solar cell/module characterization
  • Team player with good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines and able to work overtime when necessary

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
