The award winning Careers and Employability Service are recruiting for a 0.5 FTE Careers and Employability Adviser.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to support students to successfully negotiate the graduate labour market and build strong industry links for the service and allocated schools. 

You will need to demonstrate experience of supporting students, researching the graduate labour market, its current recruitment practices and ideally have industry knowledge of roles related to you Schools.  In addition to this you will work closely with academic colleagues in a blended learning academic year to develop and deliver industry specific curriculum sessions which both inform and prepare students for the world of work.  

You will also be responsible for engaging with employers locally, regionally and nationally in support of their recruitment of our students and graduates.  You will work alongside employers in an advisory capacity to help create and develop graduate level roles which meet both the needs of the employer and graduates. 

This role is a fixed term role to cover maternity leave for the current post holder.  The hours and days of work will be dependent on stakeholder demand and can be discussed at interview.  Both parties should aim to be flexible to meet student and graduate needs.

This position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Tier 2.
