012695 Special Lecturer/Clinical Tutor Physiotherapy, UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy & Sports Science, Maternity Leave Cover Specified Purpose 6 months

Applications are invited for a 6 month full time post, (maternity cover) lecturing on the BSc Physiotherapy and Professional Masters in Physiotherapy programmes and supporting clinical placements at the Beacon Hospital and Dublin Area.

Undergraduate courses

Currently the School offers an undergraduate BSc. Physiotherapy programme that is accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and approved by CORU as well as a BSc degree in Health and Performance Science. The School also offers elective modules in the field of Health and Performance outside of these programmes. The School also contributes fully to UCD Horizons system of open electives, thus students from diverse programmes have access to modules within the school.

Postgraduate courses

The school offers a graduate entry physiotherapy programme, Professional Masters in Physiotherapy Programme which is accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists and approved by CORU. Postgraduate Physiotherapy programmes also include PhD and MSc by research, taught MSc and Postgraduate diplomas in Physiotherapy including; Sports Physiotherapy, Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Healthcare Acupuncture, Advanced Physiotherapy Studies and Connected Health

Located in South Dublin, Beacon Hospital is one of the most advanced hospitals in Europe with over 800 consultants, nurses and healthcare professionals. Beacon provides 24 hour, world class acute services, including orthopaedics, cardiology, women's health, urology, vascular surgery, ENT neurology, general surgery, cancel care and emergency medicine. Beacon Physiotherapy department offer inpatient, outpatient and supported discharges services

Salary Scale: €57,987.- €68,285 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
