The Campus for Research Excellence And Technological Enterprise (CREATE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in the area of heterogeneous catalysis.

The research focus will be developing and investigating heterogeneous catalysts for the conversion of low cost C1 feedstocks (CO2 and CH4) to value added products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experimental research outlined by Principal Investigator
  • Develop new research methodologies
  • Provide support to research students and other research staff
  • Maintenance of the research equipment and ensure safe and smooth operation in the lab
  • Report research progress
  • Publish research findings

Job Requirements:

  • A PhD degree in chemical engineering, materials chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical physics, surface chemistry or related fields and dedicated to heterogeneous catalysis from an internationally reputable research group
  • Experience in operando catalyst characterisation techniques is advantageous
  • Experience working with computational chemists is advantageous
  • Strong English communication skills

About Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF)

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
