WeBank-NTU Joint Research Centre on FinTech ​invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in all aspects of the research and would therefore build expertise in the methodological, theoretical and experimental aspects of this
  • Work with the PI and co-I on the proposed research
  • Design and run experiments proposed under the grant
  • Analyze data
  • Draft presentations and reports based on the findings
  • Design experiments using the zTree or Otree program
  • Collect the experimental and empirical data
  • Process and analyse data using Matlab and R
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Edit and format research papers
  • Responsible for producing 1 paper for this project independently

Job Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Economics or completing soon, behavioral and experimental economics in particular
  • Knowledge of experimental economics generally, and the behavioral bias, heterogenous agents model, asset pricing and decision making in the financial market in particular
  • Ability to conduct independent economic research and assume responsibility for the development and completion of research papers
  • Ability to work as part of a research team, and work with other members of staff to meet the aims and deadlines of a project

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.

The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility: 

• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university. 

Terms and Conditions: 
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.  
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
