Description
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of vascular biology and metabolism, including in model organisms such as mice. Applicants must have an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree.
Responsibilities may include independently establishing a research program; designing, implementing, and interpreting experimental paradigms; mentoring trainees; securing of federal and other funding to support the research program; presentations of research at local and national venues.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop an individual training experience in research that allows the individual to attain personal career objectives while developing a career in an academic setting.
